Hi, I'm Sam

I am an Australian artist specializing in oil paintings focusing on mythological and fantasy themes.

My paintings combine creatures and figures from myths and fantasy with realistic landscapes.

I am influenced by the legends and myths around the world. I also love pushing my imagination to see what is possible and what creatures can be created.

I love testing the boundary between realism and fantasy. Each of my paintings tells a story. I want my paintings to have fantasy elements but also just enough realism to make people believe that the impossible may be possible and to inspire an essence of wonder in their lives. 

This is because in the world today with a high focus on so many expectations, responsibilities, and finance, I think it’s important to believe anything is possible and that you can find wonder and magic in the smallest of things.
